Your gift today provides food, care, and critical support to those who need it most.
Together, we can transform hunger into health, despair into dignity, and need into new beginnings.
No Longer Invisible
When we first met the Díaz family, they were survivingin silence—three young children suffering from severe malnutrition, abandoned by their father, and living in an empty house with no beds, no table, and no support. Their mother was doing everything she could to protect them, but without a safe place to sleep or enough food to eat, their future was uncertain.
For weeks, they endured homelessness, constant hunger, and the fear of not knowing what the next day would bring.
Because of your generosity, Hearts In Motion provided transformational and life-saving care to the Diaz family at our Nutrition Center. Before the pandemic, nearly 1,000 volunteers joined us each year—bringing hands-on help and the donations that make programs like our Nutrition Center possible.
But today, we face new challenges. Travel and giving have declined due to ongoing safety and economic concerns, leaving us with a projected $170,000 shortfall. Essential programs—like our Nutrition Center—are now at risk.
Your past support made it possible for the Díaz children to receive more than just food and shelter. You gave them dignity, stability, and a chance to dream.
Aisha, just 17 months old and weighing only 13 pounds, spent 123 days in our care. With proper nutrition, medical attention, and love, she began to thrive! Her siblings, Homero and Kiarin, also received the same compassionate care and began to heal—physically and emotionally.
Homero, just 7 years old and once burdened with caring for his sisters, began to feel like a child again. He’s now motivated to attend school and dreams of becoming a teacher.
Their mother was part of their recovery every step of the way. She received training in hygiene and nutrition, empowering her to care for her children and herself with confidence.
And when the family was ready to leave the Nutrition Center, you helped ensure they had a safe home—complete with beds, electricity, clean water, and a sense of security they had never known.
You made this transformation possible. Right now, because of your continued support, 18 children and 6 mothers are receiving 24/7 care at our Nutrition Center—each one getting a new chance at life.
As we approach the end of the year, I’m asking you to continue being a lifeline for families like the Díazs. Your gift by December 31, 2025, will help us keep our Nutrition Center open and continue providing life-saving care to children in need.
Together, we can continue transforming lives—one child, one family, one future at a time.
With much love and hope,
